Greetings of the Day!

I am writing to you on behalf of the Outreach and Extension Division of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar University Delhi (www.aud.ac.in). The Outreach and Extension Division is organising a Faculty Development Programme, Pandemic: Experiences and Implications. The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted our lives in muti-faceted ways. While the pandemic has posed a danger to our physical health, it has also led to prolonged exposure to stress and anxiety. As a consequence, it has become essential to discuss the role played by the frontline workers, professionals involved with essential services, agencies providing psychosocial care, faith based associations and other civil society organisations providing relief and recovery during the last two years of the pandemic. The FDP would also throw light on the importance of meditation and wellness programmes to cope with and recover from the agony caused by the pandemic.

The aim of this faculty development programme is:

  • Bring together various professionals sharing their experiences during the pandemic
  • Listen to expert voices and understand ways in which they had to improvise on their professions due to lockdown
  • Discuss the short term and long term implications the pandemic has on human society

The Programme sessions would be followed by two Assessment situations - MCQ Assessment and a Final Presentation. The expected outcome would be to share their experiences of hearing the professionals and connecting with their own professions and how they will include this course in their future teaching, training and research.

The Programme would be in online mode with two sessions per week (two days of the week; 5pm to 7pm). The inaugural session would be on 28th February 2022 at 3pm and the weekly sessions would begin from 4th March 2022 and end on 29th April 2022. This FDP is open to Faculty Members and PhD/Post Doctoral research scholars from all over India. The participants would be required to ensure they attend 80% of the sessions. Based on the assessment and attendance, a certificate of completion would be given to the participants.
