The Rules define sexual harassment at the work place in the context of a University, and creates a mechanism for redressal of complaints which is in accordance with numerous judicial precedents, including the Vishakha Judgment.
The Rules provide for the formation of a Committee for Prevention of Sexual Harassment (CPSH) to redress complaints of sexual harassment and to take initiatives towards creating a culture of sensitivity and awareness on campus to prevent sexual harassment.
