A library professional with sound technical knowledge and hands on experience of working with academic, medical and special library management systems. Outstanding academic background with proven records of setting up university library system (at Ambedkar University, Delhi-India) along with managing financial and human resources effectively. A person equipped with information technologies, research trends and library management models to provide leadership and promoting innovations at the workplace.

Past Experience

Working with AUD since 1st July 2009. Established library system of Ambedkar University Delhi in 3 campuses which currently has more than 65,000 books, 130 international and national journals, 28 leading e-resource data base.

  • Took initiative of organizing book exhibitions in the AUD campus and invited more than 50 leading publishers/distributors to the event

  • Conceptualized and organized a day-long Workshop along with CSSRM for MPhil/PhD scholars and faculty on “Library Resources and Services” on 4th April 2018 at AUD, New Delhi.
  • Organised a workshop for MPhil and PhD Scholar on “ From Research to Publication: What Researchers Should Know”? on 20th January 2020 at Kashmere Gate Campus.
  • Prepared the draft policy for OER for AUD with inputs from Director IT services, AUD, New Delhi, India.
  • Prepared a course on “Working with Software” for faculty Development Program at AUD under DLICD
  • Conducted more than 30 information literacy/user’s awareness sessions/User’s orientation (each 120 mins) for Postgraduate, MPhil and PhD students at AUD.
  • Initiated Quarterly Library Newsletter at AUD
  • Collected more than 350 faculty publications to upload on Institutional Repository.
  • Displayed faculty and student publications and research during the research festival “Shodhotsav” at AUD.
  • Initiated procurement of assistive devices and membership of Sugamya Pustkalaya for visually impaired users at AUD
  • Initiated INFED service at AUD to access online resources remotely.

    1. Advisor for Mendeley (Mendeley is a desktop and web program produced by Elsevier for managing and sharing research papers, discovering research data and collaborating online) since 11 August, 2016
    2. More than 150 User’s Orientation program has been conducted for M.A., MPhil and PhD students
    3. Taken two sessions (2 hours each) on 22 and 23 February 2017 on the topic how to use online resources, DELNET services, Koha and how to use referencing tool like Mendeley etc during the writing seminar of MA Sociology students conducted by Dr Preeti Sampat.
